All the riders are well aware of the dangers that present themselves in the sport of Irish Road Racing.

It’s imperative that their reflexes and focus are unwavering during the time between the green and checkered flag.

The Supersport race during the 2014 Ulster GP produced a nasty incident involving Dean Harrison, Dan Kneen, and veteran Keith Amor.

Harrison lost the front end on his 600cc machine while leant over and piled his bike into a hedge lining the corner exit.

This directed him back into the track, consequently forcing Keith Amor to lay his bike down to take evasive action.

Unfortunately, Kneen wasn’t able to avoid both the downed riders and he lost control of his motorcycle after striking the fallen Amor.

Miraculously, all of the racers involved avoided life threatening injuries and returned to racing in 2015 – tough as nails.
