Porsche produced a racing sports car with the name Porsche 550 from 1953 to 1956. It was a classic sports car with a 2-door coupe and a 2-door spyder variant. It had a 4-cylinder air-cooled engine with 4 forward speeds and one reverse manual gearbox. The most interesting thing about the Porsche 550 was the fact that it could be driven on the road as well as on a track with ease. This along with its commendable sports performance made it one of the hot classic cars.
